As of 10/29/2011, there were entries for 8497 applications overall, with 296 in the Cloud Computing - General category:
However, only 30 of the applications were free.

Update 10/31/2011: I’ve also submitted this project to the Windows Azure Marketplace (WAM). The project was approved for posting on 10/29/2011 and will be published on 11/3/2011. (New WAM listings are published on Thursdays.)
Publishers to WAM receive a NikeGolf shirt as a reward. Mine came today (10/31/2011).
A listings also is pending at WAM for my OakLeaf Systems Azure Table Services Sample Project that went live in November 2008. PinPoint approved the listing on 10/31/2011, along with updates to the existing OakLeaf company and SQL Azure Reporting Services product listings.
